Parker Kenneth Evans of Sumter, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at 6:41 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, after a brave battle with osteosarcoma cancer.
He was just 15 years old.
Born on July 17, 2010, in Sumter, South Carolina, Parker was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him.

He was a beloved son, a loyal friend, and a young man of remarkable strength and unwavering faith.
For 112 days, Parker fought osteosarcoma with extraordinary courage.
Even in his most difficult moments, he remained selfless and private, often downplaying his pain to protect the hearts of those around him.
When asked to rate his pain on a scale of one to ten, he would quietly say, “I’m a 2.”
In true Parker fashion, he fought until the very end.
His life reflected the powerful words of 2 Timothy 4:7-8:
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Parker was a student at Thomas Sumter Academy, where he was a valued member of the school community.
The academy expressed deep sorrow over his passing, describing him as part of their TSA family and remembering the strength and faith he displayed throughout his battle.
They shared gratitude for the time he spent on “The Hill” and the impact he made on classmates, teachers, and friends.
Family meant everything to Parker.
He was the cherished son who made his parents Mom and Dad, a gift they described as the greatest privilege of their lives.
His smile could light up any room.
He brought joy not only to his family but to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
Even during treatment, Parker continued to create special memories.
His family will forever treasure their recent trip to Disney, a time filled with laughter and togetherness.
Though his earthly battle has ended, his parents have pledged to continue fighting for other children facing osteosarcoma in his honor.
Those closest to him find comfort in their faith, believing Parker is now free from pain.
No more blood draws.
No more chemotherapy.
No more surgeries or scans.
They imagine him healed, whole, and rejoicing in Heaven.
The Sumter community continues to surround the Evans family with prayers and support during this unimaginable loss.
Parker’s courage, faith, and gentle heart will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his loving parents and family members who will carry his story forward.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family.
Forever fifteen.
Forever loved.
